Installation instructions for Soft Inverted Mantles

• Turn off gas supply to the lamp and allow it to cool. Ensure used mantle ash is removed and all glass panes are clean.
• Remove old mantle rings from burner tips.
• Carefully remove each mantle from the pack, insert ceramic ring onto burner nozzle and twist 1/4 turn. Gently pull down the mantle fabric for proper shaping.
• Pre-burn the mantles by lighting them WITH THE GAS STILL TURNED OFF.
• DO NOT TOUCH MANTLE after pre-burning as they are very FRAGILE.
• Simultaneously, turn on the gas (very slowly) and ignite the mantle.
• Mantles will shape up completely (auto form).

Annotation: Each mantle differs in shape, which is normal. The most common cause of mantle failure occurs due to the slightest vibration or shocks.
